Public health authorities in Rumbek Central County sent 50 people to court for lack of cleanness in restaurants and shops since the beginning of the new year.

Public Health Assistant Administrator James Magok Akec told Good News Radio on Wednesday that 50 people have been send to court for serving old food to customers in restaurants, while others were accused of mismanagement in saloons.

Mr Magok said old food can cause sickness and it is not nourishing.

He added that the 50 people were accused of serious offenses and the court should take appropriate measures.

Public health teams usually suffer the ire of the community while carrying out their duties around Rumbek.
