Yei boda-boda association has handed over 60 unregistered motorbikes to the Traffic Police for its owners to get the green number plates that allows them to operate as taxi service.

The chairman of the boda-boda association Joseph Amani James told the media on Friday that the move aimed to end allegations that boda-boda riders are responsible for all motorcycle accidents in the county, Radio Easter reported.

He said all boda-boda operators have to have green number plates and the ones who don’t are brought to the Traffic Police.

Yei Traffic Police officer Andrew Kenyi appreciated the association for its initiative.

He assured them that his office would issue new green number plates to ease boda-boda operations in the county.
