Heads of the Catholic Church groups in Yambio are taking part in a leadership skills training to boost their ministries.

Fifty participants are attending the two-day training that kicked off on Friday at St Mary’s Parish in Yambio.

The Director for Pastoral Training Centre Stephen Kumunyangi told Radio Anisa that the curates of St Mary’s Parish in Yambio organized the leadership training to the heads of all the newly formed groups.

Fr Kumunyangi said the training is very important because a country, a church or an organization grows if it is headed by good leaders.

He added that the participants are learning about time and financial management, and how to organize meetings and be self reliant.

Fr Kumunyangi explained that parish priests are raising funds from their own parishes to conduct the trainings.

Similar trainings were conducted in Maridi, Rimenze, Ibba, Ezo, Nzara and Li-Rangu parishes of Tombura Yambio Diocese.
