The Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly summoned the governors of Lakes, Warrap, Unity, Jonglei and Central Equatoria and the Mayor of Juba to answer queries on insecurity.
The Chairperson of the Committee of Defence, Security and Public Order Aleu Ayueny Aleu said the governors and the Mayor will appear in the Assembly on Monday to explain insecurity issues in their states.He said the number of people dying in the five states is bigger than in other states due to communal conflicts and cattle rustling.
Mr Aleu added that security discussions are continuing until Monday in close session at the National Assembly.
The National Legislative Assembly suspended its ordinary programme to discuss insecurity issues affecting the country from Tuesday until Monday.
