The national leadership is the source of many problems that are tearing apart the country.
Peace Mobilizers representative Garang Mabil said the national reconciliation exercise should start with the nation’s leadership because they are the problem.He said the youth volunteered to defend the country when the issue of Panthou √ɬê nalso known as Heglig √ɬê occurred, but leaders were divided.
Mr Mabil said the youth reject and stand against wrong ideas that divide the country.
He called on the leadership to accept criticism for the benefit the ordinary people.
Mr Mabil said South Sudanese rebelled against Khartoum not to come and lead but to direct people towards a goal in order to lay strong foundation for future generations.
He called on the leadership to listen to its subjects every day, speak out bad things in their hearts and reconcile.
Mr Mabil said the peace mobilizers have to begin changing themselves in order to convert everyone to be peacemakers in South Sudan.
He called on the people of South Sudan to listen to one another and stop threats of bloodshed.
Mr Mabil was speaking in Juba on Wednesday during the graduation of 200 peace mobilizers who finished a month of preparation to start the Journey of Healing for National Reconciliation.
