Mabior Yar Hospital in Tonj South County of Warrap State is lacking means to transfer patients to the main hospitals.
Joseph Mabior, the doctor in charge at the hospital, said the facility does not have means to refer pregnant women with delivery complications and other cases. He added that emergencies should be referred to Tonj Civil Hospital or Thiet Hospital but there were no ambulances and many times patients did not have the money to pay for the transport.
Mr Mabior said patients need a good care and should be assisted with the transportation when they needed.
He said the ambulance in the area should be in working order and at the service of all.
Mr Mabior urged the Minister of Health and the government to look into the issues of transportation.
He asked the officials to visit every health facility centre around Tonj South County to know what they need.
