Greater Tonj cattle keepers were called to stay in peace following a reconciliation conference with their neighbours of Cueibet.
South Tonj County Commissioner Mario Monydhieth Gor said Greater Tonj cattle keepers are in peace with Cueibet County following last month’s peace and reconciliation conference between Warrap and Lake State, Don Bosco Radio reported.He added that this peace and reconciliation conference allowed free movement to the people of both areas.
Mr Gor told all the cattle keepers who are taking their animals to the grazing lands along the river to keep the peace.
He advised the youths who were still thinking of cattle raids to stop because peace and reconciliation are the only way to develop the country.
Mr Gor urged all the youths of Greater Tonj to respect and cooperate with the neighbouring counties.
