A 43-year man hanged himself in Lainya police station Monday where he was under custody for attempted suicide.
Lainya County crime officer Alahazi David Banja blamed the police who were on duty for not taking full control of the criminals in the custody, Radio Easter reported.He explained that the deceased was brought for custody for trying to kill himself.
Mr Banja also blamed the deceased for lack of responsibility and excessive consumption of alcohol.
The widow told the criminal officer during the investigation that the deceased made several attempts to kill himself.
Officer Peter Okelo Paul, who was on duty, said he did not know where the deceased got the rope to hang himself.
He accused the deceased of frustration and quoted the decease words saying he would kill himself even if he was freed.
