The Mayor of Wau town warned he would take legal measures if citizens did not stop dumping garbage on the roads to maintaining cleanliness in the town.

Mayor Michael Geba told Voice of Hope earlier this week that littering the roads was frustrating the Municipal Council work to keep the town clean.

He said people continue disposing garbage along the roads making them impassable.

Mr Geba warned that legal actions will be devised to curtail the practice.

The Mayor encouraged the entire population to dig garbage pits within their compounds rather than littering the roads.
