The state ministry of Public Service and Labour in Lakes State has issued directives to all foreigners in the state to obtain work permit
The Director-General in the ministry, Abraham Makur Mangok warned that those who will not comply with the orders will face the law.He said the policies of the world always allow aliens to have work permit.
Mr. Makur explained that the state government is not after money, but is only protecting the locals to have access to more job opportunities.
He said the work permit will help the aliens’ freedom of working in the state.
The Director-General also said that the security personnel are informed to investigate those without work permit.
Makur also warned that the state government will not tolerate those who will not comply to the directives.
He said those with work permit will be the only people to work in the state with any non-governmental organization or self employed persons.
