RED ARMY FOUNDATION GETS NEW LEADERSHIP

The Red Army Foundation or Jesh Ameer on Saturday installed a new chairperson and his deputy to run the organization for the next two years.

Newly installed chairperson Deng Bol Aruai said the general assembly installed the new administration after the election conducted last March, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said the foundation has three main objectives: to provide services to the members, preserve its legacy and history and support nation building.

Mr Bol presented his 100 days programme that includes the establishment of state offices and membership registration.

He said membership registration starts in Juba on Monday.

Mr Bol said the Red Army will extend the registration drive to the diaspora in the United States, Australia, Canada and East Africa.

He added that the foundation wills also built centres to help members traumatised by the war.

Mr Bol explained that all kids who endured the suffering of the 21-year civil war are members of the Red Army Foundation, especially IDPs, refugees and those who served in the SPLA.
