INDIANS TO INVEST IN YAMBIO BOTTLED WATER, WOOD

Investors from India visited Western Equatoria State Minister for Commerce, Trade and Investment to express interest in setting up a water bottling plant in Yambio.

Premi Haroi Vekariya said the investors would also like to establish a wood factory due to the availability of many forests in the state, Radio Anisa reported.

He asked the state government to give them space in Yambio.

Minister Simon Ngbidigi welcomed the Indian delegation and asked them to process seven documents needed to license their companies from the national government in Juba.

He asked also for a concept paper to be analyzed before any approval could be granted.

In another development, a Jordanian company known as “Lumberlogs Co” on Wednesday met the minister to discuss more investments and the progress at the Saw Mill Facility opened in Nzara County.

Lumberlogs Manager Jasbir Singh Likhari explained that the company would like to introduce a refrigerator truck to market fresh vegetables inside and outside the country to expand business.

The Minister welcomed the idea promising that the Ministerial Economic Sector group would pay a visit to the site to conduct preliminary studies on all the investment initiatives.
