The President of the Republic swore in on Tuesday the probe team tasked to investigate the break-in at his Office compound between March 15 and 23.

Anti-Corruption Commission Chairperson Justice John Gatwich Lul heads the four-member team.

The probe team has one month to identify, summon, interview and investigate all the concerned members of the staff that could have been involved in the break-in.

The committee is also to establish the exact amount of money stolen and how the money was stolen in the heavily secured the office of the President.

It should also determine why such an amount of money was kept in a building which was not serving as a strong room, instead of being deposited it in a bank.

Officially, the robbers took with them 176,196 South Sudanese Pounds and 14,000 US Dollars after opening a hole using two long screwdrivers, a sledge hammer and a bucket of water.

The committee should submit its findings to President Salva Kiir Mayardit within 30 days.
