The first preliminary and provisional results from the national elections in Lakes State were from Warcuei Polling Station in Rumbek East County.
The results of the Executive position show Yasir Arman leading the presidential candidates, Salva Kiir ahead of Lam Akol for GoSS presidency while Tong Mayay of the SPLM leads the race for governor.Peter Macuei is the head of Warcuei Polling Station. He told Good News Radio that the counting started with the Executive box at eight on Friday morning and was concluded at 2 pm, describing the entire counting process as “very hard.”
The results displayed at polling stations are provisional. The final results are announced by the National Elections Commission.
