Residence in Torit town of Eastern Equatoria has discouraged the public in the state from unnecessary misuse of mosquito nets, calling for proper utilization to protect them from mosquito bites that spread malaria Disease.
Mr. Michael Lokang, a residence at hai kuku area in Torit town, challenges the public from using mosquito nets for tying fence, grass in bushes, building houses, and protecting chickens at home.
Lokang points out that mosquito nets mainly protect the children and elderly from malaria Disease.
mosquito net. “The reason why mosquito net is importance it help in the rainy season not only that but also it prevent children from mosquitoes that’s the role mosquito net played and it also help lactating mothers and also pregnant women so that mosquitoes should not bite children and bring malaria and for me is hundred percent is wrong that mosquito net is not brought for building houses repair of fences and for protecting chick and maybe other use it use is to protect children and event us the elderly people so that we cannot be affected with malaria.
Another residence identified as Peter Odiongo, revealed that mosquito nets have also been used by people for harvesting sorghum in the garden.
Odiongo fears chemical sprayed on mosquito nets may affect one’s health.

Others once using mosquito net in bad ways is not right because mosquito net was manufacture to prevent people from mosquitoes that’s is use and people are support be following that rule and I will like to tell my follow colleges from different places that those once who manufacture mosquito net was not for protecting chickens it was not made for building houses and it was not also made for harvesting sorghum people are now taking mosquito net to the bush for sorghum and that’s not the use of it and mosquito net has chemical.
Meanwhile Rita Daniel advises the population to sleep under mosquito nets to prevent them from malaria.
Those once misusing mosquito if found they should be given some advice because that mosquito net was given to them to support their families not for tying charcoals and not for sorghum use so that children will not have sickness, because sickness also course loses in term of treatment so people need to be given advice in the communities, and my advice to the community is that instead of using mosquito net for tying charcoals and other things sleep under the mosquito net with your children for malaria prevention some time people don’t have mosquito net in the houses that why you found in the hospital affect with malaria because they don’t use mosquito net.
