His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla urges believers at Holy Family Palotaka parish in western Denary of the Catholic Diocese of Torit to transform lives amidst 100 years of faith centenary celebrations in the Acholi Land.
Cardinal Stephen Ameyu martin Mulla who doubles as the Arch-Bishop of Juba Arch-Diocese while presiding over the centenary Celebrations mass at Holy family parish tells believers to examine their consciousness in the 100 years of faith after several sacraments received at the parish since its establishment in 1925.
Cardinal Ameyu calls on believers in the area to rise up for more Evangelization to change the society.
//my dear brothers and sisters after this celebration of this great hundred years of the family of Jesus in this parish, let us rise and go forward, we must established transformation within ourselves and this hundred years should be an examination of our conscious because the lord ha baptized us and had given us this anointment because he recognized us as daughters and sons of God//
Cardinal Ameyu appeals to believers to consider and exercise the sacrament of matrimony to strengthen the faith at Holy Family Parish and in the Catholic Diocese of Torit for another 100 years.
//and therefore these hundred years of celebration must strengthen the family lives what does it mean certainly you know the catholic, we mean here the family of a man and a woman married in the Matrimony as a sacrament now you young people, young men and young women the next hundred years it is you to carry this church forward, I appeal to you all of you must see the best partners and marry yourselves in the church that is the only way we can survive for the next hundred years//
Ameyu calls on parishioners at Holy family and the entire believers in western Denary of Torit Diocese and Torit Diocese at large to mobilize funds for completion of the halfway church building at Palotaka parish.
//and so my dear people of God, it is important that we have a physical church standing like that one there, and so from here I appeal to all south Sudanese and specially people who hail from this land whether they are in south sudan or abroad ,I appeal to you to build this church ,we are missionaries to ourselves today ,the missionaries will never come again to build this church, I appeal to you if all of us give one south Sudanese pound each one of us presence here the church will stand ,we must be self-reliance ,self-reliance in what we produce to eat and what we also wear that is the only way, we can be respected because, if we are fed the one who feeds you will tomorrow challenge you who are you//
The south Sudan first ever Cardinal who doubles as the Arch-Bishop of Juba Arch-Diocese voiced out the concern to Catholic and Non-Catholic believers, state Government officials, Non-Governmental believers during 100 years, centenary celebrations at Holy Family Palotaka Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Torit on Sunday.
