The Dulu Foundation for Investment and Development has donated 3,000 US dollars to support maintenance works on two key bridges in Western Bahr el Ghazal State.

The donation was officially handed over to Eyat Company, which is implementing road and bridge projects on behalf of the state government. The funds will be used to maintain the Kubri Sita and Al Jazera (Ndengendenge) bridges.

Speaking during the handover, Makuac Deng Madut, Commissioner for Tax Collection in Western Bahr el Ghazal State and a representative of the Dulu Foundation, said the contribution reflects the foundation’s commitment to supporting government-led development initiatives.

“The time for corruption is over. This is the time to implement projects that benefit our citizens. We urge well-wishers to join hands with the government to bring development to our people,” Madut said.

The Executive Director of Eyat Company for Roads and Bridges in the Bahr el Ghazal region, Horsham Eldin Hissen, welcomed the donation, describing it as timely. He noted that funding constraints remain a major challenge and called on the public to support development projects.

Meanwhile, the State Minister of Roads and Bridges, Julio Benscnsio Mango, confirmed receipt of the funds and expressed appreciation to the Dulu Foundation and other contributors.

“We have received 3,000 US dollars from Dulu Foundation, and we highly appreciate this support. We also thank traders who contributed 100 bags of cement, which has boosted the start of work on the two bridges,” the minister said.

Minister Mango emphasized that the ministry remains open to further support and stressed that development is a collective responsibility.

The contribution from the Dulu Foundation, alongside support from traders and other partners, underscores the importance of cooperation between the government, private sector, and citizens in advancing infrastructure development. Authorities say continued community support will be crucial to completing the Kubri Sita and Al Jazera (Ndengendenge) bridge projects, which are expected to enhance road safety and connectivity across Western Bahr el Ghazal State.
