The Governor of the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Dr. Addis Ababa Othow, has called for a renewed commitment to professionalism, accountability, and teamwork during a departmental tour of the institution’s seven Directorates and departments on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Juba.
The visit comes as the Bank intensifies efforts to enhance internal operations and support the country’s broader economic agenda.
Governor Othow was accompanied by First Deputy Governor Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya and Second Deputy Governor Hon. Rita Nyankiir Akoon.
“We must lead by example in everything we do,” Dr. Othow emphasized. “Accountability, transparency, professionalism, teamwork, and excellence are not just words on paper—they must be part of our daily work culture.”
During the visit, the leadership also inspected the police unit stationed at the Bank. Governor Othow and his deputies expressed appreciation for the officers’ ongoing service and commitment to maintaining a secure working environment.
“Security is key to the Bank’s operations. Your role is vital, and we count on you to set an example for others,” said First Deputy Governor Mikaya.
Second Deputy Governor Nyankiir echoed the spirit of unity and inclusivity, adding, “At BoSS, we are one team, one family. Let’s stay united, reject discrimination, and build a stronger South Sudan.”
The leadership team engaged directly with staff to assess the working environment and reaffirm the Bank’s mission to improve monetary policy and contribute to national economic development.
