The administration of Auxilium Primary School, under the Catholic Diocese of Wau, held a special Holy Mass on Friday morning to mark the Feast of Saint Mary, Help of Christians.
The celebration is part of a broader annual event observed on May 24th, honoring Saint Mary, the patron saint of the school. She is revered for her intercession and protection, especially within institutions affiliated with the Salesian order.
Delivering the homily, Father Rocco Taban Musa stressed the importance of prayer in shaping the lives and futures of young people.
“Prayer is essential; it is through constant communication with God that we gain strength, direction, and purpose in life,” he told the students.
Father Rocco encouraged students and the entire congregation to pray without ceasing and to seek divine guidance throughout their lives.
“In every step you take, always turn to God. His grace will lead you through challenges and into a blessed future,” he added.
He further urged students to respect their teachers and the school administration, acknowledging the essential role educators play in shaping future generations.
Father Rocco also reminded them to dream big, work hard, and keep faith at the center of their lives.
The Feast of Saint Mary, Help of Christians, remains a significant religious celebration in Catholic communities, especially in institutions under the Salesians, where Mary symbolizes protection and spiritual guidance for students and educators alike.
