Residents of Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State, are calling on the State Ministry of Health to urgently contain a growing cholera outbreak. The worsening situation has sparked fear among locals, who blame contaminated water sources for spreading the disease.
Speaking to Voice of Hope Radio, concerned residents emphasized the immediate need for clean drinking water and heightened public awareness on cholera prevention.
They warned that without swift action, the outbreak could escalate, threatening more lives. Citizens are urging authorities to conduct a mass vaccination campaign and intensify public hygiene education.
With case numbers rising daily, community members are pleading with health officials to implement effective prevention and response measures to safeguard public health.
