President Salva Kiir Mayardit met with the Vice President of Gender and Youth Cluster, Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, on Monday19 May 2025, at the State House in Juba.
The meeting highlighted the importance of building internal cooperation among leaders and citizens alike in an effort to consolidate national peace and South Sudan’s regional diplomatic relations.
During the meeting, Vice President Nyandeng briefed the President on her recent official visit to Uganda, where she held talks with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in regards to regional peace, bilateral relations, and matters of mutual interest between the two countries.
President Kiir and VP Nyandeng reaffirmed their commitment to working together to move the country towards the trajectory of peace, unity, and progressive development.
The two leaders discussed the current political and socio-economic developments within the nation.
