A 33-year-old South Sudan National Security officer shot himself to death over the weekend in Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria State.
Kochi Richard Joseph the Magwi county crime officer confirmed that the incident happened at around 7:30 PM citing that nobody has been identified to be linked to the death of the deceased.
He however identified stress as the root cause of suicide in the community
The Magwi County crime officer advises the entire population to share their problems to minimize cases of committing suicide among community members
“The soldier of national security shot himself dead, his name is Ohure from Lotuko of Imurok, he shot himself alone that is a suicide, his dead body was taken to hospital and they returned it, nobody is not yet confirmed who is connected to that suicide, at the main time the whole thing is to commit suicide he shot himself, body come to us here in police to open the case, no any other information from the ground, he shot himself around seven thirty, succeed a result when somebody mentally over stress, sometime you cannot share out your problems, if something happens as that police will see, suicide is not a criminal case is just something person done with reason known to him, his dead was taken to the hospital for barie, suicide is something not good if somebody comet suicide it surprises people alone if you problems share people so that you will help if you have a problem you need speaks out”
