On the fourth and final Sunday of Advent, Father Mutasem Kamal, a Catholic priest from the Franciscan Society of the Archdiocese of Khartoum, urged the faithful at the Wau Church to prepare their hearts and souls to receive Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, this Christmas.

In his homily, Father Kamal encouraged the congregation to reflect on the love Christ taught and to foster peace within their families.

Father Kamal called on the faithful to examine their relationships with others, emphasizing that quarrels and conflicts can hinder God’s blessings in their lives.

Father Kamal encouraged the congregation to prepare not just for their outer appearances but to make room for Christ in their hearts. He urged families to allow the Christmas season to be a time of unity rather than division.

Father Kamal also appealed to children to help their families, particularly in times of hardship, as a way of spreading Christ’s love during the season of Advent.

Father Mutasem Kamal’s homily was delivered to the faithful at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Parish, where the community gathered to prepare for the arrival of the Christ child.
