The spokesperson of South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) is urging all the security organs deployed out and within Juba to protect the Citizens and their properties with respect and integrity during this Christmas festive.
Speaking to the media, Lul Ruai Koang stated that SSPDF as finalist a rolled out all the necessary arrangements and preparations to enhance the security and protection of the people of South Sudan and foreign nationals during the festive season.
“In coordination with other organized forces, South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) as the lead security agency has finalist a rollout of all the necessary arrangements and preparations to enhance security and protection of the people of South Sudan and foreign nationals during the festive season.”
Lul Ruai warns all the forces who are not on duty to keep their guns in the store and move as civilians, citing that any soldier found moving with a gun and not on duty will face the law.
“Directives and orders have been issued by the CDF that anybody who is not on duty should put his or her gun in the unit store. Those who are allowed to carry their guns are the ones who are on duty. If anybody is found carrying a gun and he’s not on duty, that gun will be confiscated, and the person will be arrested and charged.”
The SSPDF spokesperson highlights that the joint security forces have deployed forces across the City including major roundabouts, Markets, public transport places, and Religious sites.
He adds that the joint security forces will contact the vehicle and put patrols with a special focus on hot spots areas known for high rates of criminal activities.
According to the SSPDF spokesperson, the hot spots areas with high criminal rates include, Gumbo Sherikat, Mangaten, Jonduru, and Parts of Rock City.
The SSPDF leadership urges all citizens and foreign Nationals to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities in order for preventative and primitive measures to be taken.
