Governor Lobong dismisses social media claims of lending land to Neighboring country Kenya.

The Governor of Eastern Equatoria state has echoed that the Republic of South Sudan will not spare any piece of its land to any neighboring Country.

H.E Governor Louis Lobong Lojore while addressing the congregation at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit during the Eucharistic Congress Celebration, condemns information circulating on social media regarding the territorial Nadapal border with their counterparts Kenya.

Louis Lobong said that President Salva Kirr vows to maintain the Land for the benefit of South Sudanese Citizens.

Clip 1…Lobong on Boarder Issue “now I see people are talking questioning on social media about the road and Nadapal, I want to tell you people of eastern Equatoria that like now “our Bishop cannot sell part of his Diocese to any Diocese” even I cannot sell part of our land to anybody, the territory of South Sudan belongs to President salva Kirr, he has spoken several times that as long as he is still a life he will not spare any piece of land to any country, that means he knows what he is doing, there are diplomatic talks not anyhow”   

According to the Governor, high Government officials from South Sudan and Kenya will diplomatically solve the issue of the border point for a better relationship.

Lobong urges the people of Eastern Equatoria state to refrain from exaggerating information on social media.

Clip 2…Lobong on Boarder Issue “just like priests if he doesn’t like anything, the two principles refer the issue to the concern ministries, I know our minister will not accept this, and this are not things to be spoken on social media, if they are doing this quietly we also have to do it quietly, we don’t want much talking no one will enter and take south Sudan’s land by force”  

He says that no one has the right to claim the Land that belongs to South Sudan.

Clip 3…Lobong on Boarder issue “even if you are suffering like what, no one will take your land because there are Laws, so let us take time and we organize ourselves so that we become strong for this people also to fear us, because if you keep quite they fear that why are this people keeping quiet”  

The Eastern Equatoria state Governor made the statement at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Torit during the closing of the Eucharistic congress celebration on Sunday in Torit.
