His Eminence Cardinal Gabriel Zubair Wako, the religious leader of the Archdiocese of Sudan and South Sudan, has called on the Christian community to shift their focus away from external support and take active steps to uplift society through their own efforts.
Cardinal Zubair encouraged them to initiate actions that promote positive change, such as opening schools and establishing vital social systems.
“When we work together to help others, it reflects our shared creation in God’s image. This unity strengthens our bond as one family under God,” said Cardinal Zubair.
The Cardinal emphasized the importance of self-reliance among Christians, stating that when believers unite to serve others, they embody the spirit of Christ.Cardinal Zubair also warned against division and greed within communities, describing these as obstacles to progress.
He encouraged Christians to practice unity in their homes, workplaces, and churches. “Division is useless and only fosters greed. It is crucial that we, as Christians, work for unity wherever we are so that God’s blessings may be upon us,” he added.
