Governor urges Thuro Majok Community to have Peace with Their Neighbours

The Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State is urging the community of Thuro Majok in Marial Bai Payam of Jur River County to foster peaceful coexistence with their neighbors for the well-being of the society.

Addressing the public during the handover ceremony of the Thuro Majok dormitories, Governor Sarah CletoRial emphasizes on the importance of living in peace as one people.

“The message I want to share with you is about peace. I need you, citizens of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, to live in harmony with your neighbors’. I do not want people to fight over land because we in Western Bahr el Ghazal State are the heart and mother of the Bahr el Ghazal region. Therefore, our relationship with neighboring states should be strong, as we are one people speaking one language.”

In her remarks, Governor Cleto encourages the residents of Thuro Majok to embrace peace wholeheartedly, adding that, “Bahr el Ghazal region belongs to all and there is no need for tensions among the Communities.”

She assures her commitment, to work collaboratively with other governors in the greater Bahr el Ghazal region for peace and stability.
The State governor made the remarks to the media on Tuesday at the Thuro Majok area.
