The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wau, Matthew Ramijio Adam, warned during a sermon at the second Mass on Sunday at St. Mary Help of Christians Cathedral that spiritual grumbling can have more severe consequences than physical complaints.
Bishop Ramijio Adam noted that grumbling and gossiping are common experiences in people’s lives, and while physical grumbling can cause harm, spiritual grumbling has a far deeper impact.
“Physical grumbling hurts, but spiritual grumbling is even more damaging,” the Bishop emphasized, explaining that the spirit of grumbling is pervasive in society today and often robs people of true joy.
He urged the faithful to examine their lives and reject the spirit of grumbling, which he described as a barrier to experiencing joy in worldly life.
The Bishop encouraged Christians to seek Jesus Christ sincerely and deeply, suggesting that true happiness comes from within and is far more fulfilling than any external joy.
