A lawyer of the Civil Authority of New Sudan has warned anyone to distance from rapes and impregnates of school girls or else you will be sentenced for 14 years without any compromise.
Counsel Yasser Hamid Farjalla from Nuba Mountain in Sudan was speaking to the during the closing ceremony of Upper Kumu Primary School this week.
He said the judiciary measures put in place will help to reduce girls’ unexpected pregnancies and early marriages to enable learners to accomplish their levels of higher education to make a mature choice.
The Upper Kumu Primary School of Kumbur Payam in Nuba Mountains Abraham Yousif Kume has welcomed the directives. He called on all parents to send their children to school to learn regardless of the hardships and poverty levels caused by war in Sudan.
He advised learners to remain disciplined and to pursue education to achieve their goals.
Chairman of the Parents and Teachers Association or PTA, Anggallu Challuga Ketinye said parents will prepares the school fees for their children before the next education calendar begins in October 2024.
PTA chairman Challuga tasks parents to renovate grass-thatched classrooms in the school compound from September before the school’s official opening on 1st October 2024.
The Nuba Mountains region of Sudan has a high rate of school dropouts due to pregnancies and early marriages.
