The Director of the National Bureau of Standards South Sudan, Wau Branch, Francis Ibrahim Patricio said that at the beginning of February, the National Standards Authority in Juba called on all standards directors in the states and administrative areas of South Sudan to know about the process of work through which the body decided to organize the World Standards Day which will be celebrated in Wau.
Francis said that the role of National Bureau of standards is limited, it is the reason the agency decided to celebrate this day to create awareness among citizens and some other government institutions.
Ibrahim Patricio added that the meeting also included all the technical and financial reports and challenges facing authority at the states level.
He explained that, they met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to create friendly relations with the aims of developing country to train and qualify people working in the specific areas.
Patricio said that one of their plans in 2024 is to improve and expand the specifications branches by laying the foundation stone for the specifications office, Raja county branch.
He said that they will prepare with all their capabilities for the reception and completion of the Standards Day.
It is noteworthy that the celebration of Standards Day will take place in October in Wau.
