Bishop asks leaders to visit their ancestral homes

The Bishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan has urged the leaders to frequently visit their ancestral homelands to get connected to the community.

Bishop Levi Marindulu Yepete says some leaders tend to forget their places of origin when they assume power.

During festive seasons several south Sudanese leaders cross to East African Countries to spent time with families rather their villages.

The Bishop encourages the leaders to always create time to see their villages and people will be prouder to meet them.

Bishop Levi calls on the leaders to be true servants of the people so that they will offer true services to the country.

Bishop Levi made the call during the burial of Ambassador Sabit Alley Abbe on Friday in Yei. Ambassador Alley died on the 9th. December 2023 in the United States of America.
