The Eastern Equatoria State governor Louis Lobong Lojore cautioned Non Governmental organiation and other humaniterian partners from  conducting workshops at the end of the year.

This came during the fourth partners meeting held in Torit to oversee the overall challenges faced by partners operating in Eastern Equatoria State.

Lobong said most workshop organized by the humanitarian partners does not match with the state government development plan.

He questioned why partners conduct workshops in Torit instead of conducting them in areas of operation.

“I have made directives on the issues of the workshop because truly I have been monitoring all the time because workshop is good if it is meant to achieve something but most of the time our development partners come with workshops towards the end of the year and most of this workshop are not necessarily meant to achieve something they just want to spend money and justify the use of the money, He said.

The Eastern Equatoria State governor added that partners operating in the state have decided to leave without notifying the state authorities.

He threatens to write a letter to the national government such that those partners halted operating in South Sudan.

“That is even misuse of resources, my dear partners, it had been reported to me by RRC that we have some of the partners who have been operating here who have got projects of five or three years being operating in Eastern Equatoria they have decided to leave without even reporting their partner that we are leaving no handing over not even a farewell.” he added.

The official made the remarks during the fourth partners meeting at the state SPLM secretariat.
