The Vatican City Ambassador  to Kenya and South Sudan is in Wau to attend the Bishops Conference and celebrate the launching of the Eucharistic congress that is due to happen on the 26 of November 2023.

Ambassador Vert Megan calls on Christians to keep their faith strong amidst the challenges of conflicts surrounding every Christian and human being in the world.

“We all know we are living through difficult times at the moment, many of us have family members in the north and the conflicts going on in different places but as Christians, we need to keep the faith.

Vert Megan urges Christians and faithful in South Sudan to keep hope and not to lose it because in Jesus Christ there is always a future that is bright and filled with light.

He mentions that sometimes we feel defeated by the strange things that are happening around our surroundings and to ourselves but with Jesus Christ, nothing is defeated.

The special representative of the Holy Father made these remarks to Voice of Hope radio at Wau International Airport.
