Humanitarian partners in solidarity with Catholic Church Mourners

Students of Catholic University at Juba Int' Airport to receive the remain of Bishop Paride Taban who died in Kenya.

The Humanitarian organization in Eastern Equatoria State has expressed its deep sympathies following the sudden death of Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban on November 01, 2023.

A team led by Chairperson of Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Augustine Okuma visited the mourners at the Catholic Diocese of Torit to deliver their condolence messages.

They also provide financial and in-kind support to help the funeral process.

Okuma further says the death of a great Church leader has shocked all the partner’s organizations and they are in solidary with the family of the Late Bishop.

Norwegian Church Aid’s Field Coordinator, Tiba Jackson Lobangcia says Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban has been instrumental and a person who promoted a lot of developmental programs in the country.

Fr. Martin Vuni who speaks on behalf of the Church commended development partners for their support in standing with the Diocese of Torit during this difficult time.

He said the support is signified by the great roles the late Bishop played during his time on earth.

Catholic Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban died in Nairobi, Kenya last week and he arrived in Juba on Tuesday 7th November, received by Church leaders from different denominations, government officials, and Christians.

This morning, [Wednesday 8th November] the Casket is flown to Saint Francis Parish in Nimule before proceeding to Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit where he will be buried on Thursday 9th November 2023.
