The Archbishop of Juba Catholic Archdiocese, Dr. Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla has commissioned the Young Christian Students Movement to evangelize the word of God. He encourages them to spread the word of God across South Sudan.
Archbishop Ameyu who is Cardinal Elect said the Young Christian Students Movement is an association that is meant to mentor youth in a Godly way
“So young people I know you are from different Christian denominations, so as young Christian students, I would like you as young people, I would ask you to bring all the young people to this organization of YCS.”
“I am sending you, commissioning you today that you go and evangelize that there is something called YCS, we must enter that organization, and your task is to convince these young people,” Archbishop emphasized.
Archbishop further tasked the youths to look after the lost sheep of God and bring them into the folks of the Christ mission.
Ameyu believed when young people get the words of God, peace and unity will reign in society
“I know, we have many other young people who are outside of the school and they are called, “Toronto, Niggars” and you are familiar with them, some of them are your friends or your brothers, if you convince yourself that you are YCS, a Young Christian Student, look after the lost ones,” he said.
Dr. Ameyu encourages the young Christian group to bring back those spoils in society to resume their school
The Church leader urges the youths to focus on spreading the words of God rather than sticking to their denominational believes
He however cautioned the youths to be careful in using social media and not to take them out of God’s way
“Let our denominational beliefs not separate us, we can stand, today There are forces that are stronger than us, and if we are not united, those forces are going to throw us away and that is the forces of circularisation, Young people are attracted easily by social media, be careful of social media.”
The archbishop was talking to the youths during the Mass at Brother Augusto Memorial College in Kit.
