South Sudan and Central African Republic have agreed to establish bilateral ties and deepen diplomatic cooperation in areas of Trade and investment.
Speaking to the media on Friday, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Martin Elia Martin said the two countries have signed a joint Cooperation agreement on trade and investment.
According to Martin, the agreement will foster spirit of collaboration in promoting development between the two countries.
“The two countries have signed a joint Cooperation agreement on trade and investment which will foster spirit of collaboration in promoting development,” he explained.
On her part, Central African Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sylvie Valérie BAIPO TEMON said the two leaders have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding in areas of trade and security matrix along the borders.
They further signed another pact to waive visa requirements for the citizens of the two countries to allow free movement of people in the region.
This is President Faustin Archange Touadéra’s first visit to South Sudan since his election as President in 2016.
The Officials say President Faustin’s visit to South Sudan is a positive step that will pave way for further collaboration between the two countries.
