Kiir’s Endorsement in the fourth coming election comes 2024.

The delegation of five people from the SPLM National Secretariat was headed by the
Chairperson of the SPLM Youth League and the member of the political bureau
Daniel Abucha Ali.
Addressing the media upon arrival Daniel Abucha Ali who is the Chairperson for the
SPLM Youth league and the member of the political bureau says that there visit is to
oversee how the preparation, mobilization is for the endorsement of president Kiir as
the runner for the forth coming elections comes 2024.
He says they will also meet with some veterans identified to go to Juba for
endorsement as well as interacting with some of the young people on how they
receive the message of the endorsement of President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

“I have come with the delegation of five members to Eastern Equatoria from
the SPLM secretariat, our mission here is to oversee how the preparation,
mobilization and the organization for the endorsement of comrade Salva Kiir
Mayardit is going on in Torit. We will also be here to meet some veterans who

are identified to go to Juba for the endorsement. I will also interact with the
young people who are here to see how they receive the message of the
endorsement of comrade Salva Kiir Mayardit and we will also meet the state
secretariat to see some of the challenges that are facing them then report it
back to the national secretariat, we will be here for five days then we go back
to Juba” he said.
Meanwhile the SPLM Deputy Chairperson in Eastern Equatoria State, Comrade
Magret Itoo states that the mobilization in the region started after the three SPLM
chairpersons from the three states of Equatoria region met in Juba to discuss
mechanism to prepare for the mobilization to endorse President Kiir to run for the
forth coming elections.
She says after the meeting they forwarded the messages to the counties and the
town councils.

“how far we have gone with the mobilization may be starting from the
procedure after hearing the news that it is now the Equatoria Region after Wau
or Bahr el Ghazal as a whole who have done their and now it is the Equatoria
region. When the three chairpersons for the greater Equatoria sat together
also mentioned that some teams from the state sit there, it was really a
welcoming heart from us because we need it done so we all went to Juba. We
had a meeting there at the national secretariat and then we came back so when
we came back we had to call our counties chairpersons and the secretaries we
pass the message to them” she said.
Itoo mentioned that from the assessment they made indicates that each state is to
mobilize and register over 10,000 members from the counties and 350 from the town
councils from across the state.
She adds that Nimule has registered over two thousand members while describing it
as overwhelming.

“we know our population at the county level are not here, so we have to
quickly pass the information and they started with the mobilization actually
right now what we are hearing from the feedback that we are getting and then
because from the information that we got each state is to mobilize 10,000 but
to my assessment those who even came out and are registered at the county
level are even more than 10 because when we divided among the 10,000
among our counties, the municipality and Nimule town council. We found that
the report for example from Nimule Town Council is given 350 now people who
are registered are 2000 it is overwhelming and the counties we gave them each
1000 and they are already talking of plus, I believe people are more than ready,
if we are to take even 20,000 I think Eastern Equatoria alone can fit” she further
mentioned.

The speakers were addressing the journalist at the Torit Airstrip upon the arrival of
the SPLM high-level delegation from the National Secretariat to Eastern Equatoria.
