Residents in Eastern Equatoria state jubilate after the state was announced leading in the just declared S.4 results over the week.
According to the results, Eastern Equatoria was the leading in the South Sudan National Examination for Secondary Certicate of Education result for the year 2022/2023.
On Thursday this week, the Deputy Minister of General Education, Martin Tako Moyi read out results in Juba, with Eastern Equatoria State topping list with a mean score of 74. 8, it is closely followed by Central Equatoria State with an average of 74.3
Mama Deborah, a resident in Torit congratulated the students for the outstanding result that raised the name of the state on top in the national examination
Mama Deborah said the result is a clear indication that teachers are working hard to ensure students pass well.
She appreciated the State Ministry of Education for continue effort to support the schools to attain better result
“Congratulation to our children who raised the name of the state, when a child or children succeed, all people parents and the stakeholders in the state will be happy because they know the work is well done, children are being thought,” she lamented.
Deborah praised the children that, “Thanks to the children who brought this result, may God bless them and even the one who fail may God give them wisdom to do well next time, this is encouraging us, encouraging the government and the state, so congratulation to the children who did it well to raise our name.”
Mama Rahima acknowledged decline in performance of Eastern Equatoria State in the past few years however she appreciated the students for bringing the state back on track the academic excellence
She said, “Eastern Equatoria use to lead in everything but they messed up in the middle. For every student who passed by him/herself, congratulation, those who failed and the one who got less should not worry, all is good because it is you own knowledge, next time you will do better, you should not be disappointed but encourage yourself by saying this is my mind, I used my brain.”
Another listener, James advisesd students who failed the national examination to re sit for the upcoming exam for them to attain a better result
“Congratulation to side of Eastern Equatoria State to perform better than last year, they put up to number seven, congratulation to them, let them continue with this spirit, I wish also this year they will take also this senior four who are going to sit for December they will be the first one again, let them lead again. If you failed, just take courage, school will not go, if you repeat again then you will sit if you pass, the same people you will get them in the university”
Susan encouraged candidates for the upcoming National Examination to put more efforts in order to maintain number one position
“Am very happy, congratulation to these guys, we are encouraging the rest to do the same this year, the primary eight, the senior four, those who are in institutions, they all should bring this number so that we raise the name of our state,” Susan added.
The deputy Minister of General Education and Instruction, Martin Tako Moyi however attributd the poor performance across the Country to lack of qualified teachers.
