Eastern Equatoria State tops South Sudan National Examination results

 Eastern Equatoria State has taken lead in just released South Sudan National Examination results with a mean score of 74. 8, it is closely followed by Central Equatoria State with an average of 74.3

According to official document from the Ministry, and Examination body Ruweng Administrative Area has a mean scored of 59.7, and it is that in ranking

The Deputy Minister, Martin Tako Moyi said that 95.3 percent of the student who took the test passed, which represented an increase of 3.1 percentage as compared to last year performance 

Juba Diocesan Model Secondary School emerged the overall best performed school secondary in the country with mean score of 85.8, followed by Salaam Secondary School both schools are in Central Equatoria State.

 The deputy minister of General Education Martin Tako Moyi said the best top ten schools are private institutions.

The best preformed subject is chemistry with an average of 83.3, while the least performed subject is English Language and Literature in English with just an average of 53.1

“Chemistry is the most improved subject in this year examinations while the English Literature is worst performed.”

The best student nationwide is Peter Rang Bak Noon from Promise College Secondary School with total score of 92.1% in science subjects. He come from Western Bhar El Ghazi State, while the best female student is Amama Agnes Oswaha Arkangelo of Darling Wisdom Academy with total score of 91.6% also in science subjects

A total 36,105 students, which 23,300 are males while 12, 805 are female took the examinations in 398 schools and centres across the country.

The Deputy Minister Tako added that the ministry worked hard to make sure that there were no malpractice during the examinations.

He stated that the examination were administered well, apart from few incidents which happened in Western Bahr El Ghazal and Jonglei state.

The deputy minister called on the students who failed the examinations to take courage and re-do the examinations.
