The Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Yei Right Reverend Levi Marandulu Yepete is calling for justice for both victims and perpetrators accused of crime in the country.

This came during the opening of a general court-martial in Yei Army barracks

Reverend Levi believes the establishment of the court will administer justice for the truth to prevail and prove that South Sudanese stand for human rights.

Marandulu calls on suspects to change their evil deeds because they are all important to this nation.

The ECS bishop encourages citizens to love each other and stand together as one people regardless of the nature of the work they do

He reveals that God gives people different responsibilities in various fields in order to develop the nation and says citizens should work together for the betterment of the country

A youth leader in Yei River County Johnson Poru Hillary also urged armed soldiers in South Sudan to distance themselves from criminal activities some allegedly attributed to them.

He reminds the army about their mandate to protect Civilians not to kill, rape and loot the properties of their own people.

He asks for the Rule of law and Justice and calls on citizens to report crimes committed by both army and civilians and urges fair and just adjudication.

Johnson Poru appeals to the government to bring cattle herders roaming across the country killing, raping looting, and displacing communities to book to face the law.

The community members were speaking during the opening of the new military court on Monday at Yei Army Garrison.
