As Christians are celebrating Jesus Christ’s resection, a Catholic priest is calling on Christians to be the messenger of God and pray for peace and Unity in South Sudan.

Father John Bonjo, the spiritual coordinator of St. Paul Major Seminary says Christians should have a heart of forgiveness and Unity among themselves.

The Church leader warned that the country will not change if citizens remain disunited

“We are born into a life of Jesus, we are born to a life that Jesus has shown us because Jesus is here in form of life,”

“All those who have been Baptist have died with Jesus and they have resected with Jesus therefore, dear parents, faithful let us be the massager of God’s news to our people because our community needs this kind of news.”

The Priest says the communities are sick and it’s only when speaking the word of love, the unity we can be able to change South Sudan to be a better place.

Bonjo calls on believers to clean their hearts and change the bad acts that blocked the chance for peace in the Country.

“The first message today is let us pray for unity, let us pray for oneness, Jesus did not suffer and die for a single tribe in the world, but he died for all the people in the world and Jesus’s salvation is universal salvation.”

He reiterated the message of Pope Francis during his ecumenical who called the leaders to take this year as a year of development for South Sudan.

“It’s not easy to implement peace, but this is what the Church wants us to do and God wants us to do, and when Pope came to South Sudan he told people enough is enough, don’t take the country into cemetery enough is enough it’s a time for development, time for good schools, I hope our leaders, they took that message that the Holy Father has said to them.”

It’s now a time to implement the message of the Holy Father, otherwise, the coming of the Pope to South Sudan will just be useless and nothing, “He adds.”

He encourages Christians to continue praying to God so that he may change South Sudan into a better Country.

“Let this Easter this year be a new turn in our life so that we move forward and do things that bring us unity, love, and togetherness and stop killing ourselves. We should stop hating ourselves, we should stop doing the thing that divides us and this cannot happen unless we knell down and tell God we are sinners.”

He calls on the people of South Sudan to stand together for total peace in the Country.

Stand strong in your faith so that we may have sustainable peace in this Country South Sudan, “Father John adds.”

He urges Christians to have the spirit of the Church in their heart as the first home.

Bonjo criticized Christians who come to church when there is a big celebration saying that doesn’t show love to Christ.

The Catholic priest was speaking to believers on Sunday during the feast of Easter at St. Paul Major Seminary in Juba.
