He tells political parties in South Sudan to get ready for the elections.

President adds that if any party wins the election, they will form their government and a multi-party system or sharing of government will be abolished.

He says the power-sharing government has brought many problems to South Sudan and that should stop once elections are conducted peacefully.

“I have extended the transitional period for 24 months for us [parties] to prepare ourselves for election, it not always be the transitional period we have to go for an elected government,” he adds.

In August the government decided to extend the transitional period for 24 months to allow the remaining provisions in the agreement to be implemented.

On Saturday, President Salva addressed thousands of Wau residents who welcomed him during his journey to the Bahr El Ghazel region where he attended centenary celebrations in Kaujok.
