The Catholic Diocese of Yei has officially started a three-day singing seminar on Monday at Christ the King Cathedral for the choir to harmonize their voices ready for the installation of Bishop-elect Alex Lodiong Sakor on 15th May 2022.
Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral, Fr Joseph Arike Eugenio, who heads liturgy for the installation, told Radio Easter that the singing seminar composes of the chapels under Christ the King and St Joseph Parishes respectively.
He regrets that the singing seminar is supposed to be a diocesan activity but that because of challenges, it limited to the nearby parishes and chapels.
Fr Akile reveals that the singing seminar is to bringing the choir together, harmonize, maximize their voices and know the songs to sing without difficulty.
He urges the choir members to consolidate, concentrate and prepare for their songs properly to make the installation colourful.
Advisor of the liturgy committee for the installation of Bishop-elect, Celestino Atama, encourages Christians to support the choir in their singing practice to make the ordination of the bishop bright.
The three-day seminar which started on Monday is expected to conclude on Wednesday.
