Central Equatoria Governor approves 2021/2022 budget of over 7 billion

The Governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony on Wednesday approved the state government budget for 2021-2022 at the tune of seven point four billions South Sudanese Pounds.

Acting Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment, Viana Kakule Aggrey presented the budget to render equitable development to the state, Radio Easter reported.

Speaking during the signing event, Governor Emmanuel applauds both Executive and the legislative organs for their tremendous efforts especially in distributing some resources.

He reaffirms his government’s political determination for timely budget processes to foster effective implementation and achievement of robust developmental plans.

The governor calls for strict adherence and observation of the appropriation law which has signed by not spending outside the Budget.

Emmanuel reiterated on financial discipline to cordially strict to the approved budget, maintain budget discipline to become accountable state and expeditiously continue mobilising resources to finance the budget.

He directed all income generating government’s institutions to strictly implement the state approved tax schedules.

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Investment is tasked to implement 2021-2022 budget with all necessary Parliamentarians’ recommendations and amendments.

The governor stresses to the general public and particularly the people of Central Equatoria State to support the state government in the implementation of the budget.

He directed the Ministry of Finance to begin working on the 2022/2023 budget with all necessary allocations leading to the process of the forthcoming Budget.

Ministers of Local Government and Law Enforcement, Information and Communications, and senior government technocrats including the State government secretary general attended the event.
