Over 400 candidates sit for South Sudan Secondary Certificate Exams in Yei

At least four hundred sixty-six students are attending the South Sudan Secondary School Certificate Examinations in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State, confirmed County education director.

Emmanuel Sebit Peter revealed that two hundred ninety-five students are boys while one hundred seventy-one are girls, Radio Easter reported.

He praises that girls are able to reach the final stages of completion of O level and are competing with boys.

Juan Margret, Yei County Secondary Schools Inspector, encourages the students to avoid involving in issues that may take them away from the exams.

She advises the candidates to be disciplined during the exams in order to pass with good grades.

Margret calls on parents and guardians of the candidates to take good care of the learners by providing all their needs and carter for their health.

Meanwhile Fr Marcelo Jungu Gaitano, head teacher of St Joseph Secondary School encourages the students to be confident in answering questions with the wisdom of God.

He believes that the resurrection of Jesus Christ will give light, wisdom and understanding to the students to perform to their expectations.

However, Yei River County commissioner, Aggrey Cyrus Kanyikwa, requests the candidates to be disciplined and obedient to God and their teachers in order to be successful.

He encourages learners not to focus on the examinations and not to capitalize on their frustration and disappointment.

The local government leader appeals to the candidates to concentrate, be determined, confident and self reliant.

The exams which started on Wednesday with Commerce and English is expected to conclude with Mathematics on the 29th.April 2022.
