The Metropolitan Archbishop of Juba Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla encouraged the priests to keep their faith in the service of God.
Presiding over Chrism mass at St’s Peter and Paul Parish on Tuesday, the Archbishop says the most sacred call from God is priesthood, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He says God will never leave his people in whatever situation.
This covenant has broken the blessing of God and so we will prosper because we are ready to change because God is not the last to leave we are the last to leave God and let be remain this secret call that God has called that God has call to us as priest, common priesthood and ministerial priesthood, this is the most secret called by which we can either be emancipated, liberated but we can be also the source of destruction, as source of morning, God is not the last the last to leave us we are the last to leave God and so if God has sign with us a prominent blessing therefore salvation has come, righteousness has come, so we need to rejoice in the Lord because the Lord has given us His spirit”, Archbishop Ameyu noted.
The catholic prelate also encourages Christians to live a life for others as Jesus Christ did to human kind.
He tells the congregations to rebuild their own lives by serving God, the Redeemer.
“We do not live ourselves alone, we live for others, Christ did live for others that is why He has given us the year of grace symbolizing the years that we live a hundred years, ninety years, seventy years, fifty years, this is the years of blessing which is supposed to be full of blessing because God does not condemn anybody, He comes to comfort each one of us the people of God must rebuild their own lives, if we have sin that is the symbol of real and so God calls us to restoration, He calls us because the Messiah has come and rebuild Jerusalem and that has empower people to come out, those who are sin they have to rebuild, we are rebuilders of others, we must to rebuild from scratch because it is going to be the installation to each one of us and so the people of God must serve God”, says Archbishop Ameyu.
The Archbishop encouraged the congregations to accept Christ and allow the grace of God to descend in their hearts.
“The gospel tells us that if we do not allow the grace of God to descend in us we are like offering the burn offering of Cain which was not acceptable to God. We are like robbing God of the sacrifice that He expect of us and so the covenant bring justice, the justice that alone will be seen by the sacrificing act that we do every day of our lives, Christ has sacrifice the biggest but each one of us is ask to do this little sacrifice. We are not here just to say the sacrifice the sacrifice of Chris is not enough you do not participate in that sacrifice it will lead you to destructions”, he explained.
The Catholic prelate made the remarks to the congregations during Chrism Mass on Tuesday at St Peter and Paul Cathedra.
