The Governor of Lakes Rin Tueny Mabor together with the entire Catholics faithful in the state gathered in Rumbek airport to welcome the bishop-elect of the Diocese Monsignor Christian Carlassare ahead his consecration.
He at Rumbek Airstrip welcomed the bishop-elect and assured him of working together for peace, stability, unity.
Monsignor Carlassare showed his gratitude to governor Rin and other authorities for their support and cooperation in working together for peace in Lakes State and the country at large.
Bishop Elect Carlassare says he was impressed by the welcoming he received from the faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek.
He assures the Christians that he will work for peace and unity with everyone because the people of the Diocese of Rumbek are kind.
Monsignor Carlassare and governor Tueny made these remarks to the press at Rumbek airstrip on Wednesday.
