Two people who are charcoal burners reportedly went missing on Sunday last week in Ayii of Iwire Payam, according to Patrick Ociti Paul Boma youth leader.
He told Radio Emmanuel in a telephone interview that searchers reported that one shoe of one of the two was found in the bush.
The youth leader says the two took off in the morning from where they do sleep in a group with the intention of going to check in their homes, but have never come back.
“The two people we are talking about are not a mid-other now, their whereabouts are not known since yesterday until today. This morning we went in the bush to search for them, we did not get them, but only their shoes, they went in the morning from where people used to sleep together and as usual people go home in the morning to check how their homes are. They went and never came back even for lunch so reaching in the evening people were asking where about of them but all their phones were not going through”, Ociti laments.
The youth leader states that they suspect these two men are arrested by the cattle herders since they are still roaming around the area.
“Just now these people come and collect goats from our area here while we were with the highway patrol team, we called them and they came and witnessed with their own eyes the cows are closer, if I was to have a smart phone I would have sent you the pictures, but I don’t have it, cows are here, and these people are moving around and if they get you, people are not moving any distance out if you do, you will lose your life”, he notices.
The speaker made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Monday from Ayii-Kit.
