The Catholic Archbishop of Juba Archdiocese Metropolitan H.G. Dr Stephen Amenyu Martin Mulla on Sunday declared St. Charles Lwanga Sub- Parish of Lokiliri County officially a new parish

Speaking during the declaration, Archbishop explains that, the church of Lokiliri started during the missionary time and it might be older than some Churches across the Archdiocese of Juba

Development is a process and therefore with the creation of the new parish, the church will definitely grow with the protection of God “the Archbishop States.”

Amenyu promised to send a parish priest, who will lead them in the church, and help them to develop the church and increase their faith in Christ.

The Archbishop congratulates the people of Lokiliri upon attaining the status of a parish in their land and encourages them to unite as one people in all the chapels mentioned under St. Charles Lwanga Parish

He urges the congregations to work hands-in-hands as one Catholic Church and fight disunite in the parish of Lokiliri.

The Church has been operating as a sub parish in Lokiliri County, serving the people of God with love and harmony

St. Charles Lwanga church started hundred years ago in the lands where Olubo people are settling in, that is Lokiliri and it became a Sub-parish, it has been a strong Church since its establishment many years ago.

The new parish will be holding about 11 chapels from Aru junction up to Lokiliri County.

The Archbishop made the declaration of the new parish on Sunday the 27th of Feb 2022 in Lokiliri County.
