Preparations are set to start for the installation of the Bishop elect of the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
On Sunday Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe issued official announcement for Episcopal Consecration and Installation of Rev. Fr. Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo, as the second Bishop to lead the Diocese of Yei.
In the announcement, the Bishop elect will be consecrated and install on the 08th of the Month of May 2022 in Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic diocese of Yei.
Vicar General of the catholic diocese of Yei Father Zachariah Angutowa Sebit made the announcement at Christ the king Cathedral on Sunday.
The announcement came after, the consultation and sharing with the Bishop-elect of Yei, on the mentioned issue of his Episcopal Consecration and Installation, when and where, the Bishop-elect of Yei wishes to be ordained and installed in Yei
Vicar general further mentioned that Cardinal Zubeir Wako and Nuncio to South Sudan and Kenya to install the bishop elect in the catholic diocese of Yei.
Chairperson for Steering Committee has been chosen in the person of Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Pololo Enock.
For the preparation and organization of the mentioned occasion, four Bodies were to prepare fully the like of St. Augustine Family Organization (SAFO), Diocesan Catholic Women Association St. Monic, Diocesan Youth Chaplaincy and Diocesan Catholic Action.
Monsignor Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo was appointed bishop of Yei by Pope Francis on the 11th February, 2022.
The announcement was made on Sunday in Christ the King Cathedral of the catholic Diocese of Yei.
